Hey, OTFers!It's officially time to open OTF's September contest. As promised, prizes are getting bigger and better!
So: August is known for its Summer heat, and October is known for its spooky atmosphere leading up to Halloween. But- what's September known for?
In this contest, you get to decide! Is it the fall colours? The transition between Summer and Fall?
Entering is Simple
*Choose any of these ideas or come up with your own!
Choice 1. Create an oW outfit that symbolizes what September means to you. The outfit should be self-explanatory, so only a max of 50 characters can be used as a caption. (Marketplace outfits are allowed. This contest is based off of creativity & originality, not to be limited by your inventory)
Choice 2. Write an essay with a max of 1500 characters (your word count can be anywhere between 50 and 1500) explaining what this month means to you!!
Choice 3. Submit a piece of your own artwork expressing your interpretation of this lovely month.
Choice 4. Decorate your condo in a September-Savvy way!
Choice 5. Come up with your own- be creative!
MODERATORS: Don't be shy, you can join too! Feel free to enter or contact me if you'd like to help with judging.
How Will Entries Be Judged?
Entries are judged using the following aspects:
- creativity
- originality
- effort & care
Who Will Be Judging?
At the moment, only myself, quirt. However, don't be surprised if fellow moderators join me in my decision-making! *wink wink*

How Do I Submit My Entry?
Entry submission is pretty straight forward!! Just upload your outfit or condo screenshot (learn how by visiting Announcements > How To Upload Screenshots OR download Lightshot), or send your essay below! I prefer having them all below for organization, but if you prefer, feel free to PM it to me as well. :-)
Same thing for the art: just upload the pic below!

The Autumn Leaves are Falling
In some parts of the world, it may be hard to describe autumn. At this time of the year, there are not so many colors in my part of Florida. Although there are not very bright colors, the leaves begin to fall as winter approaches. Although it gets quite messy, it’s fun to rake everything up and watch the little ones jump into the swooshing leaves.
Second, Halloween is something I look forward to every year. Cosplaying has become a favorite hobby of mine and is something I would love to continue to do for the rest of my life. This is the one time of the year where everyone is cosplaying something and I don’t look like a complete weirdo dressing up as a video game or anime character in public. Also we can’t forget the candy! Candy is one of the best aspects of Halloween along with dark things that appear during this time.
Not only are the little ones having a great time in autumn, but the adults are too. As the children play, my family enjoys eating Thanksgiving dinner which is a common tradition in America. Thanksgiving is a time for families to ‘gather together’ and be thankful for what they have even if they are poor and only have a couple things. It’s good to realize that having more than one outfit or enough food for a week is better than having nothing at all.
Although these are three wonderful traits of autumn, there is one terrible one. At this time, I sometimes have dry allergies that cause stuffy nose and itchy eyes. But because the other aspects of autumn are so great, the best is superior to the worst. I hope you enjoy autumn just as much as I do.

Summary thing  Here goes my "2" (close to the lowest score there is) On the FCAT! (Florida Categorized Assessment Test)
This time of year is fantastic for everyone. Families gather around to enjoy a fun-filled Bar-Be-Que in the cooler weather or a day at the pool (minus the sweat). Its the time of the year where we unwind and slip on our panda onesie or our favorite slippers. This time of the year is my favorite, because I can fully enjoy myself. I love the rain (the downside though where I live is that we get a TON of bad storms.), and the autumn colors. The air begins to have a cold bite to it. The transition from sweaty men at the beach to a nice bundle on scarves in the winter. My favorite thing about fall is the newest season of Storm Chasing shows; or Halloween. Halloween is definitely a family tradition. We always have the highest rated lawns when the "Halloween Lawn Wars" begins. Halloween is the time of year I can put my skill in gear and show off my Special FX skills. I run the best booth at the Halloween Carnival. Whats so special about fall? People don't have to worry about allergies, they can break out their best name brand clothes. The fashion is better in the fall. Downtown in what I like to call "Hipster Zone" where I help run a very small theater there's a store that just pours out the smell of pumpkins, and hand-crafted candy. The Glass=Blowing store always has a free event to get the highest quality fall products. Fall just has that grit to it that all the other seasons can't top.
