There is a younger audience out there and they could be exposed to the foul language. As for the filter overall, I do not want this forum to be also known as "filter-free" so that everyone else can join to curse. |

I personally would love to have filter off, And as a volunteer I don have my filter off on ourworld. Turning the filter off would not suffice not only because there are kids but also because most of the kids can't control themselves and their actions and words to other people. Not every word that comes out your mouth must be a bad word but also not every bad word must be aimed at someone else. Many one day there will be no filter (Once we all learn to grow up).

Tbh I dont like filter but on the other side it helps small children who are playing ow.. Exactly. (-: It also helps people from being verbally abused and targeted. |

I like the filter. Its taught me to use other words in sentences instead of swearing every word. Us Irish people swear a looooooot too. Don't get me wrong, I still use the cheaty swear words from time to time.

I totally agree that the filter on the actual game can be super obnoxious. I also agree that since there are a lot of children, there should be a filter on curse words, but I hate that they filter some pretty friggen ridiculous stuff. Like, you can't say "phone" or "email" and you can't use the word "something" without putting a space.... stuff like that is suuuper annoying ;-; pretty much, unless you type like an ignorant frick, you can't say a lot of basic and completely normal and appropriate phrases....

Right!  And why "something" would be a filtered word, I have no idea. I don't see the thought process behind filtering one of the most used words. They must have their reasons, though! Although filter can be a pain, it does make sure young players aren't exposed to curses, etc. @ arsenicCatnip |

bahaha i love how this is still somehow relevant even though it was made like a month ago this is no laughing matter comic sans is taking over the forums first it started in one post and then it spread to the next and the next and the next now its infected one of my own this is taking it to far we need to get rid of the source we need to delete all threads infected w/ the comic sans virus or it will take over the whole forums !! |

Cory- a thread about filter will always be relevant because filter seems to outlast us. *dies because of comic sans* Comic sans are the dark days of childhood. No. Stop it while you can. No ruined childhoods for others please. My 6th grade teacher gave us ALL papers and whatever in comic sans and pink paper. |

My friend is having a hard time having filter XD I'm always laughing because she can't even say " Tashi " ( shortcut for my name ) she says it " Tart , Tardness , and more.. ". That isn't her real account, it was her younger sister who owns that account but her younger sister doesn't want it anymore. And now she forgot her password and email 2 months ago, so she started using her younger sister's account, full of filter. We're 17 and real true friends, and I'm just trying to help her. It will take like 2 years later to take off that filter. Which is really hard to wait. She is really..annoyed.
